Introduced in 1971 the M Type was the British Army’s workhorse for over three decades. In 1981 the MK was fitted with a turbo-booster and became the MJ.
It was widely exported. In excess of 50,000 were produced, the first 24,000 were MK type. Although most were fitted with a 4-5 tonne cargo body the M range were equipped for a variety of roles.
